UNU-MERIT to host international innovation conference
UNU Maastricht Economic and social Research and training centre on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) will host the 5th International Conference on Innovation and Management (ICIM2008) in Maastricht, the Netherlands, December 10-11.
Organized annually in rotation by Yamaguchi University in Japan and the Wuhan University of Technology in China, the conference is being held in Europe for the first time this year following the signing of an agreement to foster future collaboration between the three institutes.
The conference series aims to bring together managerial experts and researchers in the field of innovation, technology and management to explore ways of enhancing the international competitiveness of firms, technology sectors and countries. Main topics at this year's event are:

- Regional innovation systems, clusters and industrial networks
- Organizational Innovation
- Managing collaborative innovation
- Financing and Commercializing innovation
